The Melanoma Typeface was a font designed to accurately represent the visual symptoms of Melanoma in a single character - a full stop.
This fully functional .ttf file had seven different period glyphs, each representing a different visual symptom of Melanoma. Because it was so easy to use, we were able to provide it to brand partners throughout the summer of 2020 to include in their comms. The spots appeared on billboards, product labels, social posts and the weather forecast, and where possible, grew in size when exposed to UV.
We then followed with a campaign of our own, reminding people not to let a spot become a full stop.
